Overview

Python is one of the world’s most popular programming languages, valued for its clarity and versatility. This two-week evening course provides a beginner-friendly introduction to Python and teaches you how to use it to solve problems and create small projects.

You’ll start with the basics of setting up Python, writing simple scripts, and understanding variables and data types. From there you’ll explore control flow with conditionals and loops, work with collections such as lists and dictionaries, and learn how to define and use functions. Practical exercises will guide you through each new concept, with time to experiment and test your code.

The course also includes a mini-project that brings together the skills you’ve learned, giving you a practical outcome to showcase. By the end, you’ll be able to write Python programs that automate tasks, process data, or create interactive outputs. This course is an ideal foundation for progressing into data analysis, web development, or more advanced Python studies.
