Overview

Canva is an easy-to-use design platform that makes graphic design accessible to everyone. This two-day course introduces the key features of Canva while teaching the principles of good design. You’ll create practical assets such as social media posts, flyers, and simple presentations, all with professional results.

The course begins with navigating the Canva interface and choosing templates, then moves into working with text, colour, and images. You’ll learn how to apply layouts and grids for clean designs, set up a brand kit for consistency, and reuse assets across different projects. Practical tasks will help you produce your own designs step by step.

By the end, you’ll have completed a personal project, such as a digital CV, flyer, or mini campaign and gained the skills to design independently for work, study or community use.
